The Youth Ministry is for anyone in Middle School up through High School (6th Grade-12th Grade). It is led by our Youth Pastor, Jeff Bayne, with help from the best volunteers you can get!
After School Progam: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 2:30-4:30pm
This is Level One of the youth ministry program in our church. After school lets out for the day, students come on over to the church and play some games and relax or you can work on homework. This program is low key and is just a time for students to unwind from a long day at school. It is also a great event for the students to invite their friends to so they can get a feel for what our church is about.
Against the Flow: Wednesdays at 6:45 pm
Level 2 in our program is the Wednesday night youth group meeting. At Against The Flow we strive for a welcoming family feel for our youth to engage in. We start with student led praise and worship and then Jeff teaches on a variety of pertinent topics, a book of the Bible, or an attribute of the faith we hold to. It is informal enough to ask questions, and deep enough to be stretched mentally and spiritually.
Sunday School: Sundays at 9:30 am
Level 3 in our program is Sunday School. The youth Sunday School class always begins with an article or two from Answers in Genesis- the parent organization of the Creation Museum. We talk about different apologetic ideas or current events in the Christian world. The main part of the class is exegetical Bible teaching where we go verse by verse through a passage. The Sunday School portion of the Youth program is the most straight forward biblical teaching of the four areas in which we minister to our youth.
Doulos: Every other Wednesday afternoon
Level 4 is Doulos. Our Student Leadership team is called Doulos, which is greek for servant. Students have to apply to be a part of this level. We meet bimonthly and pray, discuss leadership, deeper spiritual topics and hold each other accountable.
