Welcome to Youth Ministry
The Youth Ministry is for any student in Middle and High School (6th-12th Grade). It is led by our Youth Pastor, Jeff Bayne, with help from the best volunteers you can get!
Against The Flow exists to reach non-believing students, to connect them with other Christians, to help them grow in their faith, and to challenge the growing to discover the truth of the Bible and honor God with their life.
Programs Offered
This is Level One of the youth ministry program in our church. After school lets out for the day, students come on over to the church and play some games and relax or you can work on homework. This program is low key and is just a time for students to unwind from a long day at school. It is also a great event for the students to invite their friends to so they can get a feel for what our church is about.
Level Two in our program is the Wednesday night youth group meeting. At Against The Flow we strive for a welcoming family feel for our youth to engage in. Jeff teaches on a variety of pertinent topics, a book of the Bible, or an attribute of the faith we hold to. It is informal enough to ask questions, and deep enough to be stretched mentally and spiritually.
Level Three in our program is Sunday School. In Sunday School we talk about different apologetic ideas or current events in the Christian world. The main part of the class is exegetical Bible teaching where we go verse by verse through a passage. The Sunday School portion of the Youth program is the most straight forward biblical teaching of the three areas in which we minister to our youth.
“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.”
